Jammed Power Window

Having done some searching I have a number of great tutorials on how to replace the white sliding clips in the front doors. Unfortunately all of these start off by asking me to roll the window half way down. I can't actually move my window at all as it's jammed up.
I know the problem isn't electrical and I can see one of my sliding guides is broken. Is there an easy / obvious way I can manually roll down a stuck window? I'm pretty sure there's nothing blocking the sliding rails.

To simply answer your question, no, there is no easy way to manually roll down your window if it is jammed. I just fixed this problem on my 325i: I used to try to exercise the window by rolling it up and down, but when I realized both white clips inside snapped, only one side of the window was rolling down, leaving the other side crooked. Then, it scratched up my tint because the window got off the railing and I had to manually put it back on without taking the door apart. So, leave the window up and replace the clips, which are only $9, a piece.
