Its all over... i scratched the car BAD

n Terrible news... i horribly scratch the front quarter panel above the right tyre this morning as i was reversing out of my garage..



I just sat there cursing myself... Its basically just the squared bit of the flared gaurd... It's just not a polish job

Have any of you guys had a panel sprayed/replaced ?

I'm not happy

i hear a rumor that i need to look in to personally. apparently you can get paint from the dealership. my understanding is that the paint is softer than the normal paint that bmw puts on the car in its standard job. this way you can sand it down and put another clear coat on top. look into it. hopefully someone will have better information than i.

if its just paint scratch and not a deep dent or crashed in you can get a quality paint job of the quater panel for about 300 bucks


my friend was driving and some redneck through a beer bottle out the window and seriously scratched and dented the hood. Only cost $400 to have the hood repainted and clear coated. looked brand new

I think the majority of the scratch is just paint allthough there may be a section where it was a bit deeper..

Thanks for heads up redtape on prices.. i wanted to know how much i was up against.. i would have been spewing if a redneck threw a beer bottle on my bonnet !

Furious i seriously do not have a digicam atm, nor do i have an s4 avant
I have my first full time job and the majority of my paycheck is devoted for the car.. digicam is slowly on the way tho.. might have to take pics and scan the old fashion way...
