Irregular Stalling: 1995 318is

1995 318is 5 speed-----It has an irregular stalling (engine shuts down)--I put in in neutral, turn the key on--engine will start. Sometimes it will not happen for days or a week or so. No computer code--I have been at the dealer and at a BMW shop-[zilch] the computer does not show any codes. Going real crazy!!!!!!!--------Could it be the alarm??

Any suggestions will be deeply appreciated.

Could be your alternator starting to fail or maybe the alternator belt needs replacing or tightening. Check battery voltages when the car is started and off. Check all vaccum hoes for punctures and replace them if worn. They are relatively cheap if you buy them at an autoparts store, not the dealer.

I don't know what else it could be, sorry. Hope it's not serious.
