Interesting Tire Setup - BMW Forum

Ok I was a little tight on cash, and I needed tires badly cause winter is coming, so I got 2 new rear BG goodrich Traction TA, and on the front are my almost woren out DUNLOP tires. So crazy grip on the rear but almost nothing on the front, the car behave really weird like crazy understeer. Just wondering if anyone else has tried this kind of a setup and driven in the winter. Also I got them balance when I put the new tires on.

makes sense that it would feel like it has a lot of understeer. Probably not a bad idea to put the same tires on the front when you get some cash.

At least you probably have a month or two before it really starts to snow.

if u leave it like that, then your gunna be sorry... u should def get 2 more tires b4 the winter.. thats nothing to f*ck with... charge the tires... do anything other than leave it like that!

Yea get those tires changed A-SAP soldier. There are some things that are must haves with cars and people often mix those things up, and go out and buy a crazy LCD DVD tuner for $1500 so they can watch movies while they drive, then spend $350 for a set of POS tires

Check here for BMW members dumping their rims and tires, from time to time you'll find someone letting their snow sets go cheap.

I grabbed 16" E36 sport rims for my winter tires dirt cheap here.
