If you have the automatic climate control (11 button) dash unit, you could have one of these 2 problems:

2- The climate control unit is starting to fail ($400CDN)

your coolant system is most likely low on coolant, leaving air pockets in your system will cause the heater not to work. Check your coolant level before you go and start replacing things.

The heater doesn't blow any hot air, just keeps blowing cold on any setting.
However, if I turn on the front defrost button the heat blows fine.

Right above the heater vents (on the center console), look closely,
it you turn the dial to the right (I think), you will get hot air.
I had the similar problem recently; After trying bunch of things,
I realized the dial was set to "blue" or Cold. My daughter must've
messed with it. Take a look at that vent setting.
If that vent dial is set correctly, then follow others' suggestions.
