hey guys...does anyone have ZKW's or anytype of Ellipsiloid and a CAI. i have heard a few people say that it is hard to fit the intake on after they installed the headlights...i dont wanna order those two things and have them not work out...PICTURES would be awesome!! thanx guys
I have a Dinan CAI and I asked the people at Umnitza and they told me it can and should fit. They said they have had people with superchargers able to fit Ellipsoids.
I have the cosmo (Dinan knock off) and it fits without much issue with my euros. I actually had a more difficult time with one of the horns and housings that were down in the duct. I managed to get my entire K&N down into the duct, but it required the removal of the both the aux horn, and removing the bracket it attached to.
To do list:
Suspension--- researching
UUC System U TDM- 3/05
M50 manifold converstion 3/05
off to the tuning shop for custom software 4/05
Cams/lightened flywheel, throttlebody........ well lets see what happens
ya i was looking at either the conforti intake or the eurosport one w/ the shark injector, thats why i was wondering. does it take a while to scrunch it in there or is it prty easy. thanx
naw to install an intake takes 5 min... i have put so many on before its not even funny! anyways i think its when you get ellipsoids and then rig on some HID like el presidente has the CAI might get in the way... im not sure!
As one who bought ZKW's, added the Kamei eyebrows, and then decided to add the CAI....it wasn't fun. Removing a headlight after installing the eyebrows is a royal pan in the butt! And squezing it all back in there isn't any fun either, but it's doable. It's a very tight fit, but it all goes back together.
BTW, there are two things that must be done to achieve this. One, you can't use the heat shield(or whatever they call it), there is just no possible way it will fit.
Second, you will have to relocate your horn. On tuesday, I plan on fabricating a bracket to relocate them, right now they are kinda rigged, bolted to my cruise control module (yes I know, it looks horrible) Here are a few pics...
