| When i first got my car it seemed really really really quiet, like i would pull up beside someone and sit in my car and talk to them and forget to turn it off because it was so quiet, you could even stand right at the front end and just faintly hear the motor running, it was beautiful. But now, about 5 or 6 months later, it seems loud at idles, i have serviced the car and made sure that i put the correct amount of motor oil back in and all, and i check it frequently on its level, so i'm quiet sure its not a fluid problem, well as far as i know it is not.
Anyways, it sounds like most of the noise is coming from my intake manifold (2.5 liter engine) and its kinda got a sound like a dry set of pistons would make or something like that, you can put your ear close to the intake manifold and tell that it is coming from them or that its inside them. Could they be dirty or something like that? I also have stock intake box with a k&n filter, anyone know what i'm talking about? please help! |
