ever since i took out the intake hose that come across the radiator my 318i seems faster at higher rpms, well im not sure if im just thinking its faster so i was wonder if anyone has done this and felt better performance.

The intent/purpose of that hose you removed was to dampen the intake noise. When you removed that hose, the intake is just louder. Since you year LOUD, your brain interpreting it as FASTER/better performance.

Does it make sense?

If it's getting more air it could add some HP. Nothing over 5 though, that's for sure.
