for this year i payed £1086 for fully comphrensive insurance. this includes temp car and legal costs. however, my excess is...... wait for it........ £650
total insurance £1736.00
(almost makes you want an accident dont it)
now im 24 and 25 this december and been driving for 17 months.
and its my 2nd car (before was a 1996 peugeot 1.4). today i was told that i was expected to pay yet another £1000 next april even though buy then i will have 2 years no claims bonus..
well.... put it this way...... i nearly sold the thing.
i only use it for work and short distance driving but every time i look at it i cant bear to be without it. it gets cleaned and waxed every weekend (weather permitting) does anyone on here pay that much? regardless of where they are.?
i dont mind paying the money i just think its a bit of a rip off.

i pay c. £750 per year, that's with 4yrs protected no claims & i do 25k a year. I thought UK companies were the worst but it seems US insurance is just as bad!
Mine runs out in October so I'm gonna check these guys out.
Risky - whatever you do don't sell your bimmer. Pimp your g/f out, sell a kidney or become a page 3 girl but don't sell your bimmer!

eboy1978 - We should have our insurance scheme up and running within the next week. We are not going to rip anyone off like alot of the others ( so they say )
510$ for 8 months of the year and I get the full year with Gieco. I put my girlfirnd on it and it went down by like $70. And she's 21, I'm 25. I don't understand!

Cool. I'm doing some quotes this week so are you gonna post when it's up & running?
I would be pleased to give my business to a fellow bimmer-man if your price is competitive.
