Installing Armrest Question

When removing the existing center console how do I get to the screw that sits in the front of the center console? It is covered by the transmission covering area.

Yep, pop out the hazard warning switch and you can access the front screw through the hole, the rear screw is under the rear passenger ashtray.

hmm, after ripping everything out today and trying to get the armrest center console to fit, it will not sit flush with the floor. It seems the emergency break is in the way of it sitting fine. Anyone have some step by step instructions as to where i'm suppose to secure the armrest to?
