1. take the air out of the tires:
2. put 200lbs of steel in the trunk and another 300lbs on the rear seat and 100lbs on the passenger seat.
3. Strap a dead Elephant to your roof.
4. get small 12 inch rims and tires.
don't get no cheaper than that.

you can always hunt for a set of used lowering springs on sites like this one. may get them much cheaper.

IMHO that is not a good idea. The springs will be very bouncey. The stock springs on our cars are progressive.
