i've farted around on the forum and read just about every topic that sounds interesting, but what are some of the need to know things about my car? This is my first BMW, and i've been nothing but impressed. My last car was a Nissan 240sx with some pretty heavy modding,no need to worry it wasnt some ricy fast and the furious bullshit, (no offense to anyone who likes that kinda thing, its just not my bag) I am just curious to know if there is one thing or another that i need to know about this car. It might be as simple as something that most people would commonly overlook.
I will also be very much intune with this conversation =D, welcome fellow newb

one thing i you need to know about most of the BMWs are the water pump if stock are crap and can fall apart on you and hurt you engine. If you dont know if it was replaced with a metal empeller pump have it replace. Look in the FAQs for comon proboble for the E36.

heres the water pump that you all are talking about. its only $60. From what i've experienced with my nissan, water pumps are a bit of work. leave yourself a whole saturday to change one of these puppies out. thanks for the tips
