Icv In 320i 1994, Where Is It?

Anyone can help me by posting a photo of ICV location in 1994 320i? I want to take it out and clean it...

not sure is that a 6 cylinder? if it is, It's probably under the intake manifold

Yes it is a 6 cylinder one.

What would be the best way to take it out then?

take off your intake manifold is the easiest...

One thing occured to me.

If I completely remove the ICV, will the car start? and what would happen then?

I think it'll start and then die right away... but I'm not 100% sure.

I have located the ICV under the Air Manifold ony after I removed the MAF.

I didn't want to remove the manifold itself as it looked too complicated with many hoses and things attached to it...

But I couldn't get to the ICV enough to take it out... do you have any suggestion on how to safely remove manifold ?

It's possible but requires being a contortion artist and removing the throttle body. I did mine that way yesterday, it did not solve the hunting idle nor the stalling so on to next phase of trouble shooting.

I'm planning to work on it next week or week after....

I will let you know if I find the cause of the problem ghead
