I need help! car will not turn off

ATL318ti n00b Join Date: Jul 2008 Car: Posts: 3 Photos:	I need help! car will not turn off I drive a 97 318ti and tonight as i get home i pull the key out of the ignition and the engine turned off but the rest of the car did not. i put my key back into the ignition and it will not turn either way. i unplugged the battery for now and i do not know what to do. if anyone knows or has had this happen, i would definitly be appreciative. thanks

Happend to me once, dealer quoted over 1k to fix it but we just played around with the ignition stuff and it somehow fixed itself.
