I currently have an '87 325e, and am going to get a newer BMW hopefully very soon!

My two leading candidates are a '97 328i with 78,000 miles or a '99 528i with 82,000 miles.

Does anyone have any advice between the two? Anything to look for before I buy one of them?? Thanks for your help!!

Also, if anyone can run a Carfax report for me, please let me know!

i would personally go with the 328i. but yeah get carfax on both and see if you can take which ever one you want to a BMW mechanic so he can check it out mechanically. but i don't know, now i think about it. the 5 series are very nice. but i would get tired of driving the 528i because its a bigger car.

well this is the e36 section lol, yeah i would get the 328i too, i think you'd have more fun, and less miles is always a good thing, as long as it's in good condition, then again i love e39s, i guess it's what do you want a smaller car, or a more spacious luxury car

I guess my preference would be the 328, the thing about the situation is that the 528 is located pretty close to me, and I would be able to get a heck of a price on it. Probably 7-8 grand less than the Kell Blue Book price...

I appreciate everyones help and advice!!
