At the sound shop and my car starts over heating turned it off let it cool down. Checked the water it was good so took it out to the HWY and it started running hot but not over heating stoped at a red light the temp shot to over heating. What could be the problem must know soon at work and I get off at 8 pm
Thermostat might have gone out. Sounds like your fan isn't starting when you are idling. The fan doesn't need to run while you are moving. Usually the thermostat is the first thing to replace then perhaps the fan clutch etc.
