aright....so....you buy the TSI engineering extreme kit for the 325 right ( http://www.prostreetonline.com/pso/pages/d...sku=PSI-BE3625X )...take the manifold cut off the flange of the manifold and weld a t3/t4 flange on there. buy a t3/t4 hybrid with an internal wastegate ( http://mjmturbos.com/T3T4INTERNAL.htm ) and bolt it on. will this work? will i need a different t3/t4 hybrid and need to make more custom fabrication to the manifold to use an external wastegate ( http://www.cj-motorsports.com/cars/mattmr2/DCP04008.jpg ) ? and...will the downpipe fitting thats made for the t28 turbo fit on the t3/t4 turbo. ghead ....dang....help me out here any more info and some expertise would help

can't tell if the kit uses an external wastegate, but if it does, then you need a T3/T4 with an external wastegate as well...

also, the downpipe will have to probably be custom fabbed

That kit is just shitty, Fab it all yourself and do it right. Or...
I'll probally be selling alot of my turbo parts soon, the majority of my kit, you can use my 16g turbo or w/e turbo you want for that matter, but the 16g would be a good fit for you, and work w/o problems.
I'll be selling most likely

16g TD06 Turbo w/ 17c compressor wheel w/ internal gate This turbo will be FRESHLY rebuilt. You will be the 1st person to get it after it gets rebuilt.
downpipe
injectors
spark plugs
all piping
intercooler
oil feed and return (you need a banjo fitting and L for return, like $80 from AA)
bypass valve
boost gague
A/F ratio gauge
Gauge pod

All you would need then woudl be
-manifold ($600 new from cartech)
-software (get it from AA $?) The kit ur looking at uses FPR which [b]SUCK[b]
-boost controler (<$30 ebay)

The 16g will flow enough for ur 325 motor. This setup i have now is ideal for 325s, but not my 328.

fission, what kind of numbers do you pull with your 16G setup on your car, and how many lbs of boost have you ran?

i blew the oil seals on the turbo (why im rebuilding it) before i could hit the dyno but alex (owner of eurospeed) rode in in and said it was pretty fast, faster than dinan s/ced m3s he's ridden in, i am gussing it was putting out around 270whp. w/ that or more tq.
Im going to a diff setup now tho, which is why im selling all this stuff.

I'm about to get a 98 m3. I hate the idea of buying a turbo kit, but all of my experience is with DSMs, so i'm not entirely confident with my knowledge in terms of creating my own setup. Would you be able to help me out a little fission? It'd be cool to have someone who knows what they are doing with turbocharging bmws....

buy my kit, i know some1 selling their 20g compressor for $350 or $400 or so. That compressor will flow enough for your 3.2L motor. You'll still need those parts i mentioned above. For the parts i have listed above i would ask for $3500. All this is coming off an AA Stg 1 kit, except for the manifold which you can get from a company called cartech for like $600 or $700.
After all the other costs (manifold, software, 20g) you'd still be getting a turbo m3 putting out easily 300whp for $5500. The 17c turbo on a 3.0 kit i was looking at i remember put out just over 300whp on pump gas and 95F weather, you'll have a bigger 20g turbo and bigger 3.2l motor; you do the math.

Only do this if have the $ and are seriously about it. I took off & installed everything on my car myself. Its not terribly difficult IMO, just alot of bitch hard to get bolts to move.
