How to store M3 long term?

I have landed myself in an unfortunate, depressing, and stressfull situation where i may not be able to drive my wife, e36 M3 for possibly up to a year. with that being said, what steps do i need to help preserve it as best as possible so its still healthy upon return a year from now? I already got a car cover to protect the exterior but do i need to do anything special to the engine, tires, etc..?

Personally I would remove the spark-plugs and drop a small amount of oil into the bores to stop the piston-rings getting too friendly with the cylinder-bores.
Might be a good idea to put her on axle-stands so that the tyres don't deform !
Try not to leave a lot of fuel in the tank as it may deteriorate, and put plenty of fresh fuel in when you eventually get back in her !!
