I have a 1994 325ic and want to ask if I need a device to reset the oil service lights or whether it can be done manually. Thanks!

You can try this : http://www.unofficialbmw.com/e36/electrica...ice_lights.html

I've done it without any electrical knowledge. It worked great for me.

Take the cover off the scaner conector on your car, use a flash light or a drop light (what ever works better)locate 7 and 19 end conectors, use a paper clip to conect them for about 5-7 seconds. that is all you have to do. I hve doni it a couple of times and it works really good.
