How to replace E36 side marker lights?

hi,I have purchased clear side light marker replacements, but they came with zero install instructions.They appear to be a pop out with a spring tab, but not sure and do not want to damage the sheet metal is it that simple?

Yep that simple, use a small screw driver to lever the old ones out, protecting the paint work or moulding with a cloth under the driver, pop the old one out and pop the new one in.

If it's a later model E36 you just slide it forward then pull out the rear of it. I believe they changed in 1996.
