how much power can a stock 93 auto handle?

I want some more power, but i have an automatic. My E36 only has 39,000 miles on it, so its still kinda young and strong. Any ideas?

I bought the car for 9,200. Was this a good price or did i get ripped?

Also, does anyone know of any air intake systems with large diameter piping. I heard that a guy makes nice cold air intakes and is a member here on this Forum.

good price. for such low miles. I paid a bit more for my 94 with 95,000 miles.

most CAIs have decent sized piping...

You shouldn't have any issues going FI with that milage.

No problems with a supercharger exspecialy with the ridiculously low mileage. Most cai have 3" piping but you could make it bigger with a coupler. Havn't heard of anyone making cai on this site for sale.

I have a hard time justifying putting $9k into a car like an old E36... I'm about to buy a '93 325i in perfect condition for about $4,500... but it's from a friend. If I got up to the $10k range, I'd just save a bit more and go for like a $15k M3.
