3-Series (E36)Chat relating to the BMW 3-Series from 1992-1999. Autodoodad
Specific models include: BMW 316i, BMW 318i, BMW 318iS/ti, BMW 320, BMW 323, BMW 320, BMW 324, BMW 325, BMW 328.
I'm talking all the screws, panels, engine parts, seats, door panel parts, dash parts, light switches, struts, bolts, fog lights, tire jack, tool kit components.....just about everything that would have a "parts number"....
how many parts made up an original E36 car when these cars came off the assembly line?
and where can one find this information?
my guess would be like 734 parts in the average e36 car!
It depends on how you look at it.
An instrument panel, for example, can be considered one component (because that is how it is shipped by the supplier) or a few hundred because of all the sub components in the assembly.
Regardless there are alot of parts that go into a car.
I'll tell you all what, I'm going down to my driveway and dismantling my car. I'll count the parts for you and let you know. However, I think my car has LESS parts than it came with off the assembly line
I know man. I was just playing... wait, who am I kidding... yeah, you got me for not makin sure I read all the posts. BTW, I think it would take way more than three licks. Three bites would probably do it, though.
