how hard is it to tell if my car is chipped? - BMW Forum

my car has alot of acs parts on it and i was wondering if the previous owner may have chipped the car too, is it hard to find out? what do i need to do or where can i look? thanks!

you have to open up the panel (in the engine compartment) then disconnect the DME, now open it and check the chip. cross referance the number with BMW. all in all its a pain in the ass to check

very simple...see if your can pass 130 mph...or see if it can go past 6500 rpm...i forget where stock cut off is
