How to get some low end torque

How in the world for a resoanble price is the best way to get low end torque without the sacrfice of high end hmm plz enlighten me

Well, the best way to make it feel like you've got more is to get a higher final drive ratio (differential)

see i have the old slush box and need some jumpity jump off the line

You could go with a manual 318 differential, it's like 4.1 I think.

Or a chip custom made to give you just low end torque, but you'd be sacrificing top end HP.

But doesn't having a higher differential sacrifice top speed? Or is that only when it is a drastically high differential? I thought I remembered Autotechnica saying that he had a really high differential and it was good for acceleration, but terrible for top speed and regular driving. Or maybe I'm just making things up?

Yeah, it will lower your top speed quite a bit. But that's because he made a pretty big jump in gearing. Also, you could go with performance chip and tranny chip from Dinan.

No idea on costs, sorry. Also, a different cam set up would get you some more power as well.
