It is kind of difficult to get my car sideways..I was wondering how do you guys get your cars to slide...because for me to get sideways i have to double clutch more than normal...but i also try to swing my rear out a little bit more also..but then it's weird because it would feel really good when i am sliding but it would slowly start catch grip then let go... but in the rain its total opposite, i get sideways perfectly....
can you all explain how you get your car to slide perfect...

I dont think these cars were ment to side they were designed to take the turn... do you have a LSD? tire condition....
I'd just say Dont do this to much you will break stuff on you car...

I could do it even in my 318i. Basically you need to be going fast enough so that in 2nd gear you are around... 3.5k+rpms. If you are going to turn right, swing the wheel left and bit then hard right and floor the gas as you start coming around to the right. Depending on the turn, you may start letting the gas pedal back out and as you counter steer back left. If you need to straighten out release the gas and decrease counter steer. This will be very abrupt but should be control able.
If you are "drifting" aka spinning not due to power to the rear wheels but rather because you are taking a turn way to fast do not release the gas quickly or you will spin like a top and will most likely die if there is anything for you to hit. Particularly if it is the back of a pinto.
And remember you can always practice in a parking lot when it is wet first to get the hang of it. It is much smoother in the wet and not as bad for your tires and other things.
Get shitty tires, or bring your car here... Why do you want to drift your car in the first place? If you do get the hang of drifting please keep it off the streets.

more speed, play with the park brake handle also will help, enjoy but please be careful...good luck. and one more thing ,its harder if u have a non- posi rear, but not impossible..
thanks everybody...yea..i dont try to slide and drift in the streets...i keep it safe for other people and also myself, but it does get really fun. Most of the time i drift is in the rain because its easier and tires do run for alot..When i started drifting, it was in my Mr2 turbo and ive been trying to slide in the bmw for a while now too..i just wanted to see what you guys actually do to get sideways and maintain sliding...thanks to the kid tho...that really helps and thanks to all the other for helpin out also...
