i had to paint the needles red, but they are easy to read in person, they look especially cool in daytime with the red needles on white gauges, i got them on ebay i dont remember how much, its not hard jsut frustrating, just make sure the gauges lay flat on the stock ones and the needles are pushed down all the way, if not you will have trouble with the needles sticking
If your like me.. and a majority of owners around... orange is a legendary color for us... been there for a while... its in our hearts... its just the color that we put on BMW gauges in our minds...
But I'm like the rest of these old crotchity guys, I even bought particular aftermarket audio gear, so as to not disturb the traditioned BMW amber...
I would say the deck is merely brighter which makes it look like a diffrent color, and the satelite radio display has amber accents that don't throw it off too bad.
yeah that orange looks shitty to me alright, i hated it and thats why its gone, had to switch to something more up to date looking i guess im not an old crotchity kinda guy
I dont think its that bad you should do the LED Conversion to your dash to make it all match though if your going with it. I dont like the orange in my M. I wouldnt get the exact guages but id get the blue. Go with what you like forget what everyone else says.
Im in the middle of finishing that up.
