Welcome to the BMW family... Your car is a e36.. 1995 325is... its not an M3... do some research into what makes an M3 a M3... and you'll understand...

best and most accurate way it to check the vin or check the inside of the drivers door for the actual model.
with body kits and whatnot being put on non-e36's now a days, its sometimes hard to tell.
