Hot air ??

I've noticed that i'll have the thermometer as low as it goes (60 degrees i believe) on my 97 328i and yet when I'm driving i will feel a lot of hot air blowing out from somewhere where my legs rest. This is okay on a chilly night in the summer, but when it's like 90 degrees outside, its horrible! i have to roll all the windows down just to get some cooler air.

i've noticed also that it doesn't always do this, only once in a while. any ideas?

Hmmm is your ac set to legs?
i get hot air from my a/c when i'm REALLY pushing the car in hot weather.... otherwise never heard of this

did you change the knob in the center of the dash above the climate control to blue? cause that controls air temp from the vents.
