Hose..

hey guys anyone know what this hose is? cause mine is all burnt and its all crispy and id like to replace this but i dont know the name of this kind of hose... anyone know where i can get one? thanks

Cooling to the alternator. DON'T take it off. Probably have to go to the dealer for a new one. Mine needs replacing too. But so far it still flows air.

damn... mine has only the top part theres like a huge hole in it .. so you cant replace it yourself?

As Kev said, do NOT take it off. And if there is a hole in it you are going to want to take that thing to a dealer ASAP.

As long as it's still enough of the hose to flow air you're fine. The alternator gets very hot without that one there and will likely shorten it's life. I'm sure you could afo-engineer one if you needed too. Some 2 inch landscaping drainage pipe and some duct tape ought to do the trick.

My had a hole too. I got some metal tape and wrapped it until I could get a replacement

ah thats good to hear, ill prolly get some metal tape in the meantime, but has anyone replaced them? was it expensive at the dealership?... thanks

umm call a part shop? take it off and put a new one on? fuck the dealer, they are rip offs

You should be able to go to a local junk yard and get this part. It is also really easy to put on.

Don't take it to the dealer, they'll charge you $60+
