What up peoples
I was wondering if anyone knew a link or site or a writeup on creating a push button for an air horn. I dont want to replace my old horns because I want to use it as a like a last resort/ piss someone off, especially those damn soccer moms in SUVs / and for shit and gilggles. I was hoping to put it on that spot below the OBC (the place where people have put push starts)
Any thoughts or comments is welcome also.

PICSYou might be interested in how I added another horn to my car.

This is the switch I used. The fog light button housing is hollow, you can drill a hole and add a switch like I did. There's a screw underneith the vent, the whole vent asembly pops out, then you can remove the switch connector and work on it. I drove around for about a week with the switch missing, the car didn't know

I ran one part of the switch to the car's ground, any bare metal part of the chassis. I ran the other part through the firewall under the deadpedal where a BUNCH of wires goes through, through the fusebox, snaked around my engine bay to the other side, and to a relay which was also wired to the positive battery terminal post. Relay was hooked to the horn.
I still havn't figured out where the normal steering wheel horn wire is and if it's positive or negative, if it's negitive, I can just tap right into it and my normal horn siwtch on my steering wheel will activate both of my horns, and the alternate switch can give me some really quick "beep beep" horn control of my louder one
You NEED a relay using this switch method, horns can draw a lot of current, upwards of 10 amps depending on what you have.
If you find out, Please let me know because I'd love to have a "GET THE F@&# OUT OF MY WAY" horn at thumbs reach

BTW: Ali G is the shit.

Yes, it's very loud.
The stock horn is deeper in tone than the horn I added, but when all 3 (the horn I added has 2 seperate horns with 2 seperate tones) are palyed together, it sounds like a goddamn train's coming atcha.

It's sorta of a pain cause I gotta press both at once to make it REALLY loud, hence I wanna find the wire for the stock horn in the steering colum so I can tap my other one into it as well.

I don't think wiring colors change throughout the years during E model designations... hmmm

Hey, What happened to the 'member's ride:" thing on the left side of each post?

http://alt.bitcore.org/stuff/bmw-forums/horns.mp3
audio of them.. the added one does sound kinda gay- high pitched, so I gotta do them both together to make them meanicing. It'd probably be best if I got like 4-5 of the stock horns and just hooked them all to a big relay
I say a naughty word in the audio clip, so NWS.... you shouldn't be listening to soundclips of CAR HORNS at work anyways.

2, technically 3. (the one I added was a 2 tone horn, hence, it really has 2 in the unit)

I have a 92 325i 5-speed. Well, would it really help me since I wanted to make it a separate thing and not connected to the original horn at all. You know, have a spearate button for it so it doesnt come on when I press the horn button on the steering wheel. Thanks for the help though.
