Hopes of purchasing an E36

On tuesday im going to go look at a 1994 BMW 325si, im assuming short term name is general E36? or am i wrong? Anyways the vehicle has minor fender damager bumper and head light, i was told it runs and drives but has 130,000 miles, the check engine light is NOT on nor do any other lights appear to be.
What are some things to check? I drive a 1999 Toyota corolla so i dont have much a clue what to look for in a 6 cylinder! Should i worry about reliability issues? How long can i expect to the run the engine? I am definetley going to check the car fax but im not exactly sure how much that will tell me, this is my second car and im hoping to install a turbo, or super charger kit, if anybody can tell me the difference or benefits?

and what things in the engine, around the car should i look for, i heard e36 have electric issues?

ppi AFAIK = prior to purchase inspection, this amounts to proof of service. Feel free to use the forum search feature; E36 models need cooling service as a start.
