Saturday night I took the is to work instead of my ix. Big mistake!! thier was about an inch or two pf snow on the ground and with no salt trucks in sight. That was a rough drive home. I have about a 30 minute drive on the highway and that car was all over the place. The slightest goose of the gas and the ass end was kicking out from behind. In my ix I wouldn't even have noticed. do you guys keep a set of winter tires? I'm thinking my street tires are gonna be a little rough this winter.

If it snows at lot where you live, buy a set of cheap rims with winter tires. In the long run, it willl save you money, unless you work at a shop and do tires yourself.

lol, a few post ago i posted about how to prepare for winter in another thread.
YES get snows for you car traction control or not, these cars are pretty happy with the tail end in snow, even a downshift can cause the assend to kick out in the snow, so i strongly recommend snow tires. your only as good as the rubber your ridding on ,and if your using all seasons or summers in snow , good luck its a tough go.
it would be worth it to switch tires. where abouts do you live?

I live in York pa. We don't get alot of snow. Maybe a couple inchs here a couple thier. The occasional big ass storm. I'm not overly worried about. My wife usually drives the e36...She only works about 5 mins. away. I got the ix for the snow. That thing is like a tank in the snow and all I got on it all seasons.
I new it would be bad ...its rear wheel drive. I just didn't know it would be THAT bad!
