High beams won't stay on

when i turn my high beams on they will work for a couple of minutes then go out. the blue indicator on the dash will stay on tho. anybody have any ideas?

I would think its either a relay or the stalk.

I vote relay. If it were the stalk, the blue high beam lamp would do the same thing.

great, thanks guys! is this a dealer only item? i tried a couple of sites and can't find high beam relay

I'm having a hard time finding the part number, but I believe it's the same as the foglight relay ... Bavauto has it for 15. I'd still give them a call first to make sure it is indeed the same (that or just go look at yours [I'd go check but I'm too lazy] -- swap them to see if everything works).
