HID help

[Cruzin 323is]

whats up guys... i just got my 6000k hid kit in the mail.. and i plan on putting them in tonight, when i get home from work... i will be working in a heated garage..

but anyways... i also have euro ellipsoids.. so any help or a DIY for this install would be greatly appreciated...

Its very simple. What kit did you get? All you have to do is take your low beam connectors and plug them into the ballasts. Next, your going to want to drive a 1 inch whole in the back, or maybe a little smaller, to fit the rubber grommet in securely. Remove your old H1 bulb and put your new H1 HID bulb in. Turn it on and be amazed .

Only hard part I found in the installatino.. as long as you have plug and play harnesses... was the mounting of the hardware... IE the ballast and what ever the other connection black box was... I ended up using doublesided exspensive tape... which ended up working perfect..

As for the location..

I mounted the front right ballast as follows...

- removed the vacume system hose that runs along side the hood edge... and put it directly infront on the side of the shock tower...

As for the left side...

I mounted both inside the Conforti box.. on the inside.

as a follow up... i put them in tonight, and they are very nice... only problem that i ran into, was mounting the hardware... and the bulb itself wouldn't fit into the holder, so i have to do a little modification... i didn't take pics yet... i will tomorrow night..

I was going to mention the housing modification, but I didn't know what headlights you had. I had to open my ZKW's up a little to fit the bulb correctly.

You can try and mount the ballasts on the bumper reinforcement.

double sided tape on the bumper reinforcement worked for me..
