all three of those mods would be a great place to start. i would get the intake and exhaust first since the chip works best with both of those installed already.

Congrats on the new car, you're going to love her. Air intake would be the first if not the simple debaffle mod. That is of course you are not riding around on 15" wheels, in which case I would get some 16s or 17s first. Our cars cannot be chipped, they can only be 'sharked'. I've not seriously looked at doing this and you will undoubtedly get better info than what I can give but from what I understand sharking is a software, instead of a hardware upgrade. With that said I also have read that the increase in hp is negligible.

Okay! so i'm on the right track but i don't know which CAI brand would be the best for my car? which exhaust system? and which chip? i'm a full time student without a job so money is still an issue at this moment. i'm not looking forward in purchasing the best products on the market but i'm down to buy some good products with a reasonable price. your help would be appriciated. thanks alot.
Also keep this in mind, i live in CA so emission would be a problem. n

My sh*t is not disco. Thank You.
If you get a CAI make sure you also get a heat shield with it. I hear K & N is producing a new CAI to be released soon that will have a moderate amount of gians. Also coems with a heat shield. Be sure to keep an eye out for that one. For exhaust make sure you don't go anything non-brand. i.e. stay with Dinan, ACS, Remus, SUPERSPRINT. I recomend supersprint. Also, a great visual modification for your car that many people like are clear euro corners and sidemarkers. It may not be your style.
What color is your car?
What city do you live in and what college?

Welcome to the forum....all i have on my 1993 325i is cold air intake as of now. I would definetly get cold air itnake first. I notice a great difference. i got mine at www.cosmoracing.com cheap prices but the product is good as hell...
Im new aswell. Just registered yesterday. I'd defintly go with k&n filter thats what i use and always have and never been disapointed, But I dont have the cold air intake, jsut the filter. For some reason I was told that the difference isn't that much between the cold air intake and the normal filter, because the factory housing is already built so well! DOes anyone have any info on that?
