If anyone else knows, feel free to answer.

1 - Whats the amperage running through that power line to the ciggarette lighter?
2a - I know the line is 12 volts. How would I go about dropping that to 5 volts to add some LED's in i have?
2b - Or ideally, is there a 5 volt line i could tap?
3a - Is it bad if, when you have lights wired in, and you turn them on, you can hear static in your speakers. Then turn the lights off and hear nothing? <.<
3b - Any idea what causes it?
4 - Still want to rig a push-start for an E46? I get it back later today. (and with court dates nearing, i might have ALOT of time in the garrage with it. ;( .. )

Speaking of that... my cigarette lighter doesn't work like if you try to put something in it and you try to get it out it comes into pieces and has no power... guess I just need a new one but where is the best place?

1. The line can handle up to 30 amps.

2a. You can wire in a resisitor on the positive lead of the LED.

2b. The make 12V LEDs.

3. Yes.

3a. Most likely ground interferance.

4. I'll be available most of next week. Going out of town tomorrow night and building Harry's box today.

I have not I should I think it's the lighter it self it literally comes apart into like 3 pieces where I don't think it should... thanks for the thought I'll check it out

Borrow a friend's if any of your friends have a 3 series. Then, you can probably rule out if it's the plug thingy or a fuse\electrical fault
