I noticed something on the way to work today. Off the line, when I really get on it, it seems as though the car hesitates for a split second before the juice kicks in. Does anyone know any possible causes of this. (I only run full synthetic and never any juice below 91 octane, usually 93). Thanks bro's.
The first thing that comes to mind then is that your clutch is starting to slip. Try this: turn the car on and put in fourth while sitting still. Drop the clutch and the let the car stall. If it dies right away then the clutch is still good, but if it hesitates for a moment then the clutch is starting to fail.

I tried the fourth gear test, and the car stalled immediately...so hopefully its not my clutch (although a Sachs racing clutch would be nice). I'll try the fuel injector cleaner next. Thanks again for the input.
i have the same problem... what kind of fuel injector do u recommend? or does BMW use a specific type? or any type will do job ??? and where to buy it ??
Most of them are pretty much the same thing. STP is good, so is the NOS brand. Personally I've had good luck with Gumout. Go down to the local autoparts store and start reading the backs of them. Some have to be added with an almost empty tank, some have to be added to a full tank.

k i am listening to this one, i relly think i need to get this put in my car so what do i have to do>buy this crap from say shucks and then read to see how much and when to put in my car and then presto> haha can it hurt my car at all? and what exactly do i want to buy, and how much does it cost? what exactly will putting this stuff in my car do?
Basically, the fuel injector cleaner is really just peace of mind. If your car is regularly run, and you use quality gasoline from like BP or Mobil normally, injector cleaner won't do a whole lot.
You're not going to hurt anything by using it. Unless you try and run your car on just injector cleaner.
You might notice improved performance (no guarantees expressed or implied B) )
Cost around 4 or 5 bucks.
In Shucks, there's ussually a section for injector cleaner. Read the labels, grab a brand you trust. Heck, read the ingredients most of them are the same.
Basically I put some in my car when I first got it because I really didn't know how the car was driven before I got it. I really didn't notice any improvement in performance, but it might be running more efficiently.
