Help! A Very Headache Gauge Light Problem

ok, when i bought my bmw 318is, when i turn on the gauge light, the light a gas meter is very dark, but the lights on speed and rpm is very bright. then i changed the bulb in gas meter, still very dark. today i saw the lights on the speed and rpm meter is horrible!! some area very bright some dark, looks like put something in front the light in the gauge. i dont want my whole gauge be dark, how to fix it!!please help me out!!
