In my 1992 325i when I'm driving slowly in a parking lot or out of my garage I hear a metal "tinking" coming from my front left wheel. It has something to do with the rotation of the wheel, but at moderate to faster speeds the sound goes away.

Any ideas what this might be?

It is likely a slightly warped rotor, in conjunction with a missing or broken anti rattle spring in ther brake caliper. Of course I am only going by your written description of what "tinking" sounds like LOL. but check the caliper and pads for proper function...
