Help With Rough Idle??

My car just started doing this this morning! It does not seem to run real rough(rougher than usual, but when at idle, runs very rough!!! Anyone ever had this problem, it's a 328!

o2 sensors

u should check them out

ICV would be the first thing i'd look at.

Do we have a good DIY for cleaning the ICV? Either here or on some other site?

Not sure what the heck is going on, but it did not do it this morning, guess I'll wait till it does it again to get it diagnosed by my mechanic! Thanks for your suggestions!

Probably not ICV. Symptoms of dirty ICV are modulating idle, not rough upon start up.

It's either plugs or O2 sensor.

Change plugs every 20K miles
Change O2 every 60K miles

Funny you should mention this problem with your car. My wife's 318i was doing the extact same thing yesterday. Rough idle and the Check Engine light came on. I took a look at the basics when I got home. Air filter, etc. In the process I discovered that there was not one drop of oil in the car! Threw in a few quarts. Rough idle gone. Check engine light still on.
