Help With Rear Brake Adjustmets Please!!!!

Hi All,

Im working on my 1999 323IS, I just put new rotors and pad on the rear, in order for me to install the new rotors I had to back off the parking brake self adjusters (if in deed they are self adjusters).

My quesion is this, how do I re-adjust the adjusters so that my parkin gbrake will work again. I remember in the past owning some others cars that you would drive in reverse then hit the brakes and then the self adjusters would have adjusted themselves to the correct setting automaticaly for ya!.

I tried that with my car and it didnt work.

Help me out here, if you have done rear brakes on the same tyep of car please let me know how you adjusted them.

Or, if you know, please let me know.

i have never had to re adjust the parking brake to do rear rotors.....just dont swap them with the parking brake on.

i dont know how to fix them other than to put the self adjusters back where they were when you found them
