Help Please! Weird Noise

First off, this weekend sucked! On mothers day of all days i get a $153 speeding ticket, for doing 74mph in a 55 zone.: But anyways, i get up this morning to go to work like any normal day. When I get on the highway I notice a weird humming sound, and pretty loud cause i could hear it over my radio. At first I thought it was a leak in my exhaust somewhere, but I ruled that out. So now it seems to be coming from the front and is constant at any speed above 20mph. It also seems to go away if I turn the wheel 1/4 turn in either direction. So what do you guys think? Bearing,? Hub,? Axel? Please help if you can. Thanks

Sounds like a bearing to me, but I have very limited experience with that, so you might wanna wait for other opinions

do u feel any vibrations? or just hear humming...

if its just the humming, i would think it would be the bearings..

yeah, as far as i can tell, it's just humming, no vibrations.

should i stop driving it? will they go out if i keep driving?

Describing the hum is a little too general to really give you a diagnosis that would be worth you buying parts and repairing. My vote has you go to a reputable shop locally and having it inspected. I personally refuse to diagnose anything based on funny sounds somebody describes over the internet.

In the absence of any other symptom, I'd suspect that the noise is related to wind/air movement. Look for a foreign object stuck in the grill or under the car. Check if windows are not quite sealed, etc. A cheap fix if you find something!

thanks for the replies, i figured out it was my left front wheel bearing. $300 to fix it, including labor. anyways, appreciate the help.
