help with the obc!! pleaseee

I have an 18 button OBC on my 328is.

I recently installed a new one because when i bought the car from the previous ower the obc was fuzzy and unreadable.

so my car is much cooler now.

im having some issues setting up my obc.

-the temp outside is always -35 degrees F. does this need adjustment from my part?

-The km/h buttom doesnt do anything

-how do i adjust the screen that kind of looks like (dist----???-----???)
-what is it for?

-can someone tell me specifically the difference between Consumption 1 and consumption2 . how do I reset either one? can someone tell me the specific buttons to press for the reset?

and how do i start and stop the timer?


I couldnt find any of this in the manual.

For the temp reader, the outside sensor may need to be connected. In my E30, it's located in the driver side brake cooling duct. Consumption 1 and 2 are likely associated with the respective trip odometers.

dist ??? is a thing that you can use to measure trip milage, etc. or set a milage and it will count down til you arrive.

if the temp is -35 a connector is undone along the way, the temp sensor is bad or missing completely. check the left front airdam/brake duct there should be a sensor with a yellow connector/body on it.if its not there or disconnected, theres your problem.

if a button doesnt do anything, its broken. easy. the timer i started with set/reset.
