this site is awesome. I've been reading it for the last two days.
i'm about to replace my radio and i would like certain advice....
i'm installing a sony cdxm8800. i read that i can trouble shoot the wiring and skip buying the sony connector. anybody have any tips for this or know of a picture that explains which wires are which on the BMW end? also, do you think i can do the same with the antenna?
ok, so while i'm in there i'm going to install RCA inputs for my ipod and check out my alarm system. the alpine alarm stopped working a couple years ago. then, the other day i pressed the button by accident and it locked my car! only that once though, now it doesn't work anymore. I suspect that maybe the power connector is loose. any other ideas of possible causes?
lastly, i'm dreaming of a bunch of mods. but first i'd like to fix my driverside window switch. when i press it the window only moves part way up or down then i have to press it again. the auto up/down feature is shot. is this because of the switch, the motor or something in between? do you know if its possible to put one of these auto switches up in the moonroof?
