My 97 328i just recently lost its brake lights. I figured it was the brake light switch and, therefore, went ahead and replaced it with a new one. I don't know if I installed it improperly or what. However, before I removed the old one I plugged in the new one, started my car, and ensured that the lights were now working. The car started and everything. The problem occurred after I fully installed the new switched and put the panel back on. I went to turn on my car and it wouldn't start.
My dash lights come on, my radio turned on, but my CONTROL PANEL wouldn't turn on and my car wouldn't even act like it was trying to start. It doesn't even sound like any power is getting to the starter. Could someone please help me out.
