I need help resetting the check engine light and the traction control light. Any tips

You can find the DIY for resetting your service lights here.
No need to go as technical as the instructions...I was able to reset the oil and service lights just fine with a simple piece of wire with a clamp at one end to attach to a ground.

Is traction control off? If so just turn it back on and the light will go away. You can clear the codes which will turn off the check engine light, but unless you fixed the problem, they'll just come right back.

Ok I have tried the DIY method and my CEL is still on. Any suggestions

Sounds to me like there is something throwing an error still. You'll have to go through the fault codes and find what's throwing the error. You can find the fault codes here.
Hopefully it's something simple...just find the fault...repair...reset the CEL with the described DIY.
You could also try the solution SHAHAB323IS described above.
