Help!! I don't have any heat?

I Have air conditioning but no heat! I also don't have any lights around my gauges. I just got the car but I'm asuming that the numbers and pics around the dials are supposed to be lit at night. Any idea's?

chances are you have heat...BMWs have a separate heat/cold control that is not on the AC control panel...it is above under the large vent...it is a horizontal dial with red/blue lines under...turn it all the way to red for hot air to blow out the vents...

About the instrument cluster lights: there is a rheostat for instrument illumination located behind the steering wheel, on the left side, that controls the backlight's intensity.

I think that was it...I got warm air when I fliped that over. Then it cooled just a bit but thats probobly cause the sensor realized it was already hot in thier. I'll find out this evening when I'm out running around with the wife. Should be chilly again this evening.

what about the gauge lights, did you try adjusting the dimmer to the left of the steering wheel?

yep ...that didn't do anything. the only thing not lighting up is the numbers and the little pic showing you where the air is gonna come from. The rest lights up.

Oh -- so you're talking about the climate control unit?

In that case, take a look at this: http://www.macadamizer.com/bmwfix.html
