help with fuel senders PLEASE

i HAVE RECENTLY CHANGED MY DRIVERS SIDE FUEL PUMP UNIT IS THIS THE ONE THAT MEASURES 0-1/2 FULL 0R 1/2 TO FULL AS MY GAUGE STILL IS NOT WORKING BUT WHEN I HOLD THE ODOMETER RESET BUTTON IN IT SHOWS JUST OVER HALF IS THIS A TRUE READING ALSO SOMETIMES WHEN IM DRIVING ALL WARNING LIGHTS COME ON AND FUEL DIAL GOES BACK TO ZERO ? WHATS ALL THIS ABOUT COULD IT MEAN A NEW CLUSTER
