Help Final Stage Blower

ghead Can anyone provide advice with changing a final stage blower resistor on my 96 318ic...? Reading other posts, I understand it is located under the dash - above the brake pedal. I removed the kickpad but could not find anything that looks like what I purchased from the dealership (see attached pic).

I have the infamous A/C blower out-of-control problem and already tried the control board resistor fix. Still having troubles....

I just had the same problem which you have and i just got it fixed today.

The guys at BMW replaced my old final stage resistor with a brand new one and now my A/C works fine.

Before it would blow so strong and loud now matter how lower i put it.

my a/c only worked on speed 4 so i changed the blower motor resistor and the microfilter and i swear it feels like i got a new a/c and all the speeds work? you can do these things yourself so the dealership doesnt charge you an arm a leg and your nuts to fix it
