Help With With A Decision On Exhaust

ok i have a 95 325is and i want to purchase an exhaust system but i aint paying 800 bone for an aftercat exhaust i want it all and not that im cheap but 800 bone aint worth it i want to know if anyone has taken the downpipes cut at the y and flared it to a 3inch and ran a straight 3inch exhaust to a 3 inch muffler thankss... i like it custom hehe please help me

i dont think your gonna find many people on these forums that have done what you are talking of. i would recommend getting an aftermarket exhaust from a company that has experience in the field and has proven results. but if your hell bent on gettin some "custom" exhaust that your not sure is gonna work to the potential of other aftermarket exhausts then go to a local no-name exhaust shop and tell them your plan and ask what it would take.

PS: if you do decide to go aftermarket, UUC, Remus, Dinan, Stromung, etc. are good name brands.

Bosal makes a SS system for around $300. I've seen Borla systems for under $500, A remus system for about $400. Not all BMW systems are expensive. A custom system could work if you find a knowledgeable muffler shop. I don't know how much it would cost, or how it would sound.

i just ordered an AA tuning exhaust for 550 hehe............i got a 95 325i n ive heard that both the sound and gains are excellent for 325's
